Is This a Plumbing Application? 

Aquafire's water vapor fireplaces are not a traditional plumbing application. The units can be directly plumbed to your home's water supply similar to how an ice maker in a fridge is handled. Plumbing the unit is designed to be straightforward and user-friendly. The system runs on regular tap water and plugs into a standard electrical outlet. The integration is intended to be simple and convenient, enhancing the fireplace’s functionality without requiring extensive plumbing work.

How It Works

Once the insert is installed into the desired enclosure the show, you can add tap water in one of three ways: (1) Connect directly to a tap water source; (2) enable the automatic filling function with the provided tubing; or (3) simply remove the top lid and add tap water manually.

Within the mist chamber sits the ultrasonic transducer, AKA the "mist-maker." In the center of the mist-maker is a thin ceramic disc on top of a spring. When powered on, water flows from the water tank at a controlled rate towards the mist chamber, causing the ceramic disc to vibrate up and down at hypersonic speeds separating useful minerals from other molecules and suspending them in a web-like mist.

The ultrasonic atomization results in mist, or “vapor,” which is gently pushed with fans from the mist chamber to the top of the unit through the diffuser vent. The vapor is then backlit by a bar (or two in the Pro model) of high-powered LED light strips, creating the patented "dancing water" vapor flame effect.
