Parquet is a style of wood flooring made of narrow strips glued together to form a geometric pattern. It has a classic, decorative look that can add flair to interior rooms. Popular parquet flooring patterns include herringbone, basket-weave, inlaid squares and more.
Although it is true that you can install it yourself with the right tools and materials, many DIY'ers shy away from this particular flooring installation because of all the work involved. With traditional methods, layout requires careful attention to detail, and to secure the floor, you need wood adhesive. Assembly takes a long time because of all the small, individual planks, and cutting the border planks can get tricky, particularly in rooms that are out of square.

To make installation easier, the Bjelin company from Sweden has now introduced a durable herringbone floor designed with click-together technology. Not only does eliminating the glue speed up installation, but so does the size of the planks. At 3.5-in. by 21.5 in., these panels surpass most traditional engineered herringbone sizes, offering a modern feel. And, as every flooring installer knows, larger planks equate to fewer planks needed, which results in quicker project completion.
The flooring is also protected with Woodura technology for improved impact resistance and and to strengthen the superior 5G floor-locking solution at the interlocking joints.
The flooring can be installed in multiple patterns, from traditional herringbone, double, triple, ladder, and blocks. Made with responsibly sourced Croatian oak, this collection also comes pre-finished in Misty White, Natural, and Earth Grey, saving homeowners the time, hassle and expense of staining and sealing their new floor.
